DECORATIVE SOUND ABSORBING PANELS RIETVELD


RIETVELD is a large-scale wall mounted acoustic fixture.


The design is a configuration of three overlapping flocked Basotect sound-absorbing elements. The balanced proportions and the possibility to provide the panel in different colour combinations enhance the design as a modern wall sculpture. By combining several fixtures adjacent to each other, making use of the optional connection panel, it is possible to optimise the acoustics in spaces with long walls.


The architect Gerrit Rietveld was one of the founders of the Dutch art movement ‘De Stijl’, which in the nineteen twenties of the preceding century was at the start of the modern architecture as it is still practiced today.
